Executive Search Tool, Eliyon.com Becomes Zoominfo
Eliyon.com had been a great tool to use in tracking executives and reviewing their past positions. There were a variety of paid services along with a handy free name search that compiled a brief executive from material scattered accross the web. The accuracy in the free search was only so-so, but usually the results were good enough to use as a guide when beginning a background review, lets say.

The link above takes you to the new page, but if you're interested, here's a cache of the old interface. Just based on the design changes, it appears that the company wants to be more of a people-oriented search engine than a specialized research tool.

Can't say I am particularly fond of the new trade name or thenew look, both of which seem overly generic, but the new features sound intriguing.

SearchEngineWatch.com has further details.
