A recent Kroll report, cited in the FT shows a trend of the U.S. Department of Justice going after an increasingly broad array of foreign firms based on corrupt business practices. The traditional real of these probes would be oil companies, defense contrractors and the like, but the field of pursuit has widened considerably over the period from 2000 to 2006 to include telecom companies, pharmaceutical and consumer products manufacturers.
