U.S. To Investigate BAE Arms Trade Scandal
In the course of their investigation of the BAE / Saudi Arabia arms dealing, the UK's Serious Fraud Office uncovered a Riggs Bank slush fund stocked with millions of pounds by BAE and from which Sauid Arabia's Prince Bandar regularly withdrew funds. All of this opens the door to a U.S. Department Department of Justice investigation and potential prosecution under the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act.
